South County Athletic Club's Youth Football program
SCAC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering youth football in South County. We are aligned with the Oakville and Mehlville Middle School football programs as a "feeder system". We're working directly with the coaches in the Middle School system to develop future high school level players.
If you have any questions about our organization or would like to contribute time, materials or make a monetary donation please e-mail us at info@southcountyathletic.com
Our Home games are played on the new synthetic turf fields at Mehlville Sr. High School.
The South County Athletic Club Presents Our 3rd Annual Night at the Mouse Races Saturday September 26, 2009
Laborers Local 110 Hall 11000 Lin Valle Drive
St. Louis, MO 63123 (click here for map)
Come and enjoy a great night...and for a great cause!
The funds raised from this event will be used so that our teams can continue to play all
of their home games on the beautiful turf at Mehlville High School
Donations and Volunteers
To make this night a successful event,
any donations and volunteers are greatly appreciated.
If you are interested in making a donation for the prize raffles or auction, or would like to help volunteer during the event, please talk to your team coordinator or head coach.
Volunteer activities include helping to set up/clean up, selling raffle tickets, serving drinks, and helping to work the mouse race bets and pay-offs table. These can all be broken into shifts so that volunteers can help out for a short time, and still enjoy the night.
Donation items for the auction and prize raffles can include any type of item(s) that can be arranged in a gift basket or gift set. For example - gift certificates, sports items, movies or movie passes, games, coolers/camp items, etc. Some of our basket themes are Rams Tailgater, Golf Basket, Family Fun Basket, and a Spa Basket. Any other ideas or donations are welcome and GREATLY appreciated. Just let your team coordinator know. You are not required to donate or volunteer, but every little bit helps.
SCAC President Mark Boles takes time to promote the values of Youth Football and emphasize the importance of safe play. The Mehlville Health Fair held at Bernard Jr. High was a big success. Developing good techniques and teaching kids to play football in a safe responsible manor is important to SCAC. We have gone to great lengths to insure our players are outfitted with the best equipment we can buy. We have elected to use only Riddell Revolution Helmets. These helmets are the top choice of many College and NFL teams because of there ability to dramatically reduce concussions and provide side impact and lower jaw protection.

South County Athletic Clubs Mission Statement
South County Athletic Club
Mission Statement
To teach kids football while building positive relationships and fun memories.
Values
We value good sportsmanship. This includes behavior between teammates, coaches, parents, referees and opponents.
We value safety. We safeguard the kids as much as possible physically and emotionally, by providing quality protective equipment and minimizing unsafe situations.
We value improvement. Believing that a coach must not live vicariously through their players. The coaches are there to pass along valuable teachings that others had passed on to them. The value of those teachings should increase and extend over future generations.
We value competition. Believing that we can learn both from winning and losing.
We value playing time. We are determined at this level to have everyone play in every game.
We value fun. Believing that while sports can teach many helpful applications toward life in general, the kids at this age are still playing football primarily to have fun.
